The beaches and bays of Calella de Palafrugell and of the entire Costa Brava in general are a reference destination for scuba diving in the south of Europe. With its rocky coastline and the great variety of animal and plant species, its seabed is one of the most highly appreciated ones in the Mediterranean by scuba divers of all levels, whether professionals or those wishing to start out.
In Port Pelegrí Beach, the former huts where the fishermen stored their boats in winter, with vaulted roofs, have been reconverted into shops and diving schools. The Costa Brava, with its beautiful cliffs off which you can dive, its colonies of red coral, sea fans, multi-coloured fish and sunken wrecks is the ideal place for scuba diving.
